ORTON CE Primary School has recruited a new head teacher to lead the village school from September.
The existing head, Jennifer Hodgkinson, retires in July and governors have appointed Rosemary Spence to take her place.
Mrs Spence will leave her job as a teacher and member of the senior management team at nearby Appleby Primary School.
