A DATE has been set for the inquest for the father and son from Dalton-in-Furness who drowned off Bardsea after becoming disorientated in thick fog in January.
Stewart Rushton, 51, and his son, Adam, nine, of Cemetery Hill, had been on Bardsea beach on Saturday, January 5, when they become disorientated in thick fog.
Despite frantic calls on a mobile telephone to the emergency services, rescuers were unable to find them in time and they drowned.
The inquest into the cause of their deaths is to be held in Barrow Town Hall on Wednesday, May 29, at 10.30am.
