A SUSPECTED case of foot-and-mouth shut down all animal movements within a five-mile radius of a farm at St Cleer, Liskeard, Cornwall, last night (September 23).
Vets could not rule out foot-and-mouth disease in a bull showing signs of a vesicular disease.
Initial foot-and-mouth test results are expected later today.
There have been several foot-and-mouth scares in the country since the last confirmed case on September 30 last year, but all have turned out to be false alarms.
