An historic tunnel built by navvies from more than two million bricks is being promoted as a possible film location to help raise the profile of the Lancaster Canal.
British Waterways marketing officer Claire Chapman spent a day touring the Northern Reaches of the canal, from Tewitfield to Kendal, in search of possible film locations.
She put forward the "atmospheric" Hincaster Tunnel, the stretch of the canal near Farleton Knott, and Killington Reservoir as possible locations.
British Waterways has compiled suggestions from waterways all over the country into a brochure, and sent it out to location managers.
