AN ELDERLY Kendal man who was injured in a road accident on Monday morning has died in hospital.
The accident on Castle Street, Kendal, involved the 81-year-old pedestrian and a VW Bora car driven by a 65-year-old woman from the Kendal area.
The elderly man was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where he died yesterday afternoon.
Cumbria Police have not yet released the man's name as they are informing his next of kin.
Police said the female motorist was shocked but not injured.
It is not yet clear whether she has given permission to the police to release her name to the press.
