Initial foot-and-mouth test results proved negative today.
Vets carried out the tests as they could not rule out foot-and-mouth disease in a bull showing signs of a vesicular disease on a farm at St Cleer, Liskeard, Cornwall.
However, definitive test results will take up to 96 hours.
There have been several foot-and-mouth scares in the country since the last confirmed case on September 30 last year, but all have produced negative test results.
