AN ELDERLY Kendal man who was injured in a road accident on Monday morning has died in hospital.
Pedestrian William Johnston, aged 81, of Fowl Ing Lane, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary following the accident which happened at Castle Street, Kendal, at 9.20am.
He died later that afternoon.
Cumbria police press officer Mike Smith said the accident involved the pedestrian and a VW Bora car driven by a 65-year-old woman from the Kendal area.
Police said the motorist was shocked but not injured.
