ACCOUSTIC guitar ace Wizz Jones (pictured, right) is playing a one-off gig at Kendal's Dickie Doodle' s.
The musician, who learned his blues licks from Long John Baldry and Davy Graham in the coffee bars of London's Soho, is putting on a free performance in Kendal on Thursday, October 3.
His eclectic repertoire emerged during the British folk revival and has been evolving ever since.

A festival first for the Bowness venue is the Song Writers in the Round event with a tour de force of folk performers next Thursday, October 3 (8pm).
Regarded as one of the most respected songsmiths of his time, Clive Gregson teams up with winner of the 2002 North West folk song writing competition, Kirsty McGee, picked out by legendary Maddy Prior as an exciting new talent.
Completing the top line-up are diverse instrumentalist with a rich bluesy voice Kristina Olsen, and Jez Lowe - best known for his songs describing the people, culture and society of his native North East.
