A BARRISTER will act on behalf of South Lakeland District Council at a four-day public inquiry into plans for a multi-million pound redevelopment of Kendal's K Village.
The council's planning committee agreed that counsel should be used - at an estimated cost of between £3,700-£5,800 - to represent its reasons for approving the plans.
The inquiry, expected to be held next March, follows the Government's decision to call in the application and decide whether it gets the go-ahead.
Yesterday (Thursday) members of Cumbria County Council's development control and regulation committee agreed to maintain their strategic objection.
