ROADS were closed for more than four hours after two cars collided on the A685 at Grayrigg, near Kendal.
The accident, close to Grayrigg Park Farm on the Kendal side of Grayrigg village, happened at around 8.15am on Saturday, September 28, and involved a Peugeot 406 driven by a local woman and a Ford Mondeo driven by a local man.

One driver was taken by air ambulance and the other by road to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Both were suffering from serious, but not life-threatening leg injuries.
Police have not released the names of the injured.
