COMRADES brush up your quifs and prepare to embrace a cross-cultural music phenomenon.
Cult performers The Leningrad Cowboys lay on a Rock 'n Roll-inspired set parodying the clichs of rock stardom next Friday, October 11, at The Brewery Arts Centre.
Transforming themselves into performing caricatures with the help of towering quifs, half-meter pointed shoes and shades, their visual trademarks bring a bawdy, gaudynew slant to traditional tunes such as These Boots Are Made For Walking.
Not content with strutting their stuff on stage, the Cowboys have also made a spectacle of themselves by starring in a series of cult movies.
Look out for further details of a 'secret screening' of the classic cult movie Leningrad Cowboys Go America.
