L'OREAL has introduced some fabulous warm autumn shades to its hair colour range.
There are now so many shades of red out there, from pale copper golds to deep mahogany reds, that salons can match or contrast with any natural shade.
I am still a true believer in doing it naturally though, as nature intends - no, not going grey, just by adding highlights and lowlights rather than block colour.
Solid colour pales down the complexion and is so unnatural.
By adding the right shade of honey, gold or red to your hair you can really bring warmth to your skin this autumn.
Fringes are back in, always good for hiding frown lines (no need for Botox there then!).
Last season saw us wearing our 'bangs' (American name for the fringe) slanted, long across the forehead, now it seems we should wear them cut straight (long or short) some as short as half an inch.
Hair straighteners can be put down for a while as the wave and curl are in - even the Afro, which appeared everywhere on the catwalks of London fashion week, is back.
With big hair and big jewellery I can't help remembering the days where we were all glued to our TVs watching Dynasty and Dallas ... I do hope we aren't about to see the return of the shoulder pad!
