MICHAEL Revers is a watercolour artist of considerable talent, with a sound background in graphic design and a wide knowledge of printing techniques.
A professional artist for 22 years, he works from his native Rochdale, but is back in the area this month to hold his annual exhibition in Ladyholme Community Centre, Lake Road, Windermere, on Saturday and Sunday, October 19/20.
His early work included pencil sketches and animal studies, but his affinity with the natural elements of the landscape, particularly with the Lake District, led him to develop his watercolour skills and, more recently, produce more contemporary images in pastel and gouache.
He paints other landscapes of a continental nature, and informs me he has one of the largest current collections of signed limited editions of the Lake District available.
