KENDAL Ladies found their scoring touch after a goalless first half to run out 4-1 winners over Penrith in the Cumbria League on Sunday.
Numerous chances at short corners went begging for Kendal on the Queen Katherine School pitch before the interval.
Home keeper Julie Ashworth made a good stop but it was fairly even play between the sides.
Kendal's Sarah Dent broke the deadlock by scoring two quick goals early in the second half.
One was a super strike from just inside the D, while the other was from a deflection off Louise Whiteley's fine strike.
Penrith pulled one back after a goalmouth struggle and pressed hard to get back on terms but excellent defence from Nicola Martindale and Claire Martin kept them out
Ashworth also saved another goal-bound effort before Kendal scored a third from a short corner, Dent collecting by the post and going on a goalmouth run before slotting home.
Dent was also involved in the fourth goal, stroking across a goal-line ball for Rachel Miller to knock in.
