VOLUNTARY redundancies are being sought at K Shoes in Kendal after shoe-makers Clarks announced it was looking to shed 15 jobs.
Julie Townshend, of Clarks, said fewer international orders meant there was not enough work for all the employees.
Jobs will be lost from the company's Springer factory in Kendal, which employs 200 workers, and its Millom factory, which has a workforce of 41.
Ms Townshend was hopeful there would be no need for compulsory redundancies.
