KENDAL are drawn away to North Walsham Vikings in Norfolk for the third round of the Powergen Cup following a 32-26 win over Darlington on Saturday.
It was Kendal's first home win of the season.
Stand-off Mike Scott kicked two drop-goals and a penalty in an error-ridden first half with Darlington replying with an unconverted try.
Two tries early in the opening eight minutes in the second half jolted Kendal into getting their act together, but the match was in injury time before they crossed the tryline for converted scores through Paul Dodds and Dan Bowman to add to a Scott penalty.
It left them with a six-point winning margin after Darlington hit back with a late try themselves in the 11th extra minute after one of their players had to be stretchered off.
