TWO men were due to appear before a special sitting of magistrates in Kendal today (Thursday) charged with alleged offences contrary to anti-terrorism laws.
Soner Koyuncu, 30, and Gultekin Onur, 38, both from London, were arrested in Barrow by police on Friday, December 27.
They have both been charged under the Terrorism Act 2000. The charge reads that at Barrow on December 27, they allegedly received money, knowing or having reasonable cause to suspect, that it would, or might be used for the purposes of terrorism.
