AN ULVERSTON electronics firm is hoping to increase its overseas business after attending one of the world's largest and most prestigious exhibitions.
Representatives from opto-electronics company, Forge Europa on Prince's Street took part in the Electronica 2002 exhibition in Munich, which attracted 77,000 visitors.
During the exhibition, Forge Europa demonstrated its groundbreaking developments in light emitting diode (led) technology to the electronics market.
The company's developments include a unique range of opti-led's, which are white led products that illuminate when an electric current is passed through them.
The company, which specialises in design, development and manufacture of led lamps and displays, has also recently expanded its range by producing high performance red, green and yellow LEDs.
Marketing director Julie Barton said: "We have visited the exhibition before but this is the first time we have had an exhibition stand.
"Overseas business is an increasing market for us as it has increased by 400 per cent in the last year.
"The exhibition is a huge affair because it attracts so many visitors so it allowed us to show potential customers what we do."
