VIRGIN Trains' customer services manager for the North West is to address a special meeting of the Furness, Lakes & Lune branch of the Railway Correspondence and Travel Society tonight at the Royal Station Hotel, Carnforth. Brian Bromley will speak about Virgin's plans for new trains and services on the West Coast Main Line through Cumbria. Peter Robinson, a spokesman for the local branch of the RCTA, said the new timetable for Virgin's Cross Country services, and the new Voyager trains had experienced serious difficulties since October with poor timekeeping and overcrowding. The meeting starts at 7.30pm on Friday (Jan 3).
