A POSTAL campaign to get anglers to buy their 2003/4 road licences by direct debit gets underway in South Lakeland this week.
More than 600,000 letters are being sent out throughout the country urging anglers to switch to automatic payment.
Under a pilot scheme in the Anglian and Midland regions, there was an 11 per cent uptake of the advice.
While saving anglers a trip to buy their licences, the scheme will generate savings to enable the agency to investment more in the sport.
