Flowers were laid at the Donald Campbell memorial in Coniston by members of the K7 club on the 36th anniversary of his death. Campbell died when his boat, Bluebird, crashed on Coniston Water on January 4, 1967. He was finally laid to rest in Coniston village on September 12, 2001, after his body was recovered from the lake some months earlier.
