YHA to expand accommodation network The YHA have announced today plans to expand the network of Youth Hostels across the North West, including a new Youth Hostel in Windermere.
The developments also include a new initiative called YHA Enterprise.
Under the initiative the YHA aims to create new bunkhouses, camping barns, guesthouses and backpacker hostels through joint ventures with private, public and voluntary sector partners. For a yearly flat fee and agreed percentage of annual income, YHA will provide marketing and booking services and the building will display the internationally recognised green YHA logo.
Amongst other locations across the region the YHA would like to see YHA Enterprise accommodation established at Sedbergh and Shap.
