Thanks to everyone who entered our Lakes Quiz competition to win a weekend break at Ambleside Youth Hostel.
We wanted you to tell us how many Youth Hostels there are within the Lake District National Park boundary. The response was huge and, although plenty of people came close, very few hit the nail on the head with the right answer of 22. The full role call of those Youth Hostels is as follows:
Ambleside, Black Sail, Borrowdale, Buttermere, Carrock Fell, Coniston Coppermines, Coniston Holly How, Derwentwater, Elterwater, Ennerdale, Eskdale, Grasmere Butterlip How, Grasmere Thorney How, Hawkshead, Helvellyn, Honister Hause, Keswick, Langdale, Patterdale, Skiddaw House, Wastwater, Windermere.
The winner whose correct answer was drawn from the hat was Richard Walden from Bedworth in Warwickshire. Congratulations!
