WORKS side Storeys ended Ingleton's remarkable run of 12 winning games in the North Lancashire League Premier Division.
Ingleton started the brighter of the two sides and almost took the lead on 10 minutes when a stunning shot from Graham Atkinson was turned over the bar.
Ingleton continued to press, but were being caught by quick counter-attacks down the left and John Hargreaves gave the home side the lead after 33 minutes when he beat two defenders and unleashed an unstoppable .
Ingleton keeper Ian Kellet made a superb one-handed save from an Ian Roe free-kick after 70 minutes and Ingleton forced a series of corners and from which Phil Eccleston headed an equaliser.
Ingleton continued to press, but against the run of play Storeys took the lead on 83 minutes when a fine through pass from Andy Sanderson found the unmarked Paul Fraser and he finished from 12 yards.
A minute later Storeys went 3-1 up when Ian Roe beat the diving Kellet.
Ingleton still went all out in attack and Phil Eccleston produced a brilliant finish to make it 3-2, but Storeys' defence held firm.
