TICKETS are selling fast for the first-ever literary festival to be staged in Ulverston later this month.
The ten-day festival, which is aimed at highlighting the importance of reading and writing, is being organised by the Word Market project.
The two-year grant-funded project was launched in July to promote the development of writers and writing in South Cumbria.
Already the project has organised training workshops, classes and numerous special events in Ulverston but now plans are being concentrated on the festival, which will run from Monday, February 17, to Thursday, February 27.
A brochure listing all the events is available in the Tourist Information Centre in Ulverston. For more information or to book any of the events contact Ms Graham on 01229 468425.
