WHATEVER the weather this half term there are plenty of fun-filled activities to keep kids of all ages entertained.
From theatre performances and sporting events to getting creative, there is no time for boredom this February half-term.
Have splashing days all week at Kendal Leisure Centre from 10am. Fun sessions in the pool will include water-based games and inflatables. As well as fun in the water there are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained such as football, badminton, basketball, parachute games, team activities and much more. FRIDAY (February 14): ABOMINATION translates the thrilling pace of Robert Swindell's award-winning novel of a schoolboy's friendship struggle for the stage at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. SATURDAY (February 15): BERNARD'S parents will not listen to him when he sees a monster at the bottom of his garden and then things go from bad to worse. Not Now Bernard and other monster stories are being performed at the Brewery Arts Centre at 2pm and 4.30pm.To book tickets call 01539-725133.
SWAP stories, make up impossible tales, learn to tell stories in convincing and entertaining ways with famous local storyteller Taffy Thomas. MONDAY (February 17): HALF term will see the World of Beatrix Potter, Bowness-on-Windermere, come out of wraps after its spring clean. Children will have fun searching through the attraction for areas that have been added to or changed. There's lots to do and even a new Peter Rabbit Emporium shop.

WEDNESDAY (February 19): IT'S Explorer Ed's Wildlife Activity Week at the Aquarium of the Lakes, Lakeside, Newby Bridge, until February 26. Daily family events include hands-on activities, a chance to become explorers with the new Young Explorer Trail and the rare opportunity to meet birds of prey from the Corio-Raptor Care and Rehabilition Centre. Plus there will be face painting, fun displays and children's trails as it aims to highlight conservation and wildlife issues in the Lake District. The Aquarium is open daily from 9am. AT THE Dock Museum, which is built over an original Victorian Graving Dock, you can explore the history of Barrow-in-Furness and discover how it grew from a tiny 19th Century hamlet to the biggest iron and steel centre in the world and a major shipbuilding force in just 40 years.
