AMBLESIDE managed to keep a clean sheet against Silloth despite missing some regular team members.
Final tally Ambleside 27 -Silloth 0.
The first 20 minutes were fairly even until sustained pressure from the Ambleside pack sent prop Paul Airey over for the first try which was converted by S. Dixon.
Dixon was also successful with a penalty 10 minutes later to make the half-time score 100 to Ambleside.
Ambleside kept up the pressure in the
second half, centre Roger Watson diving over for the first of three tries followed by stand-off Selwyn Fisher and wing Graham Withers, Dixon converting the last one.
Despite pressuring the Ambleside tryline on several occasions Silloth were unable to breach the Ambleside defence.
A good all-round performance from Ambleside featured excellent contributions from Selwyn Fisher and centre Lee Black.
