Kendal Town 1, Leek Town 0

A 14th minute goal by midfielder Damien Corocoran was enough to extend Kendal Town's unbeaten run to 11 games, but the visitors will be disappointed as they struck both posts during the second half and were foiled by a string of excellent saves by Town keeper Lee Ward.

Corcoran's goal was one of very few clear-cut Kendal chances and began with a long David Foster cross beyond the Leek goal. James Sheppard hammered it goalwards and it was half cleared, falling nicely for Corcoran to hit home from close-range.

The win keeps Kendal well in contention in the play-off places of the UniBond League First Division and sets Town up for their second Cup quarter-final in seven days, as they travel to Bamber Bridge on Tuesday evening bidding for a place in the semi-finals of the UniBond League Chairman's Cup.
