THE Cumbria hockey derby between Kendal and Carlisle ended in a 3-1 revenge victory for the northerners at Queen Katherine School on Saturday.
Kendal had beaten their opponents by the same scoreline earlier in the North West Men's League season, but Carlisle were in fine form, having pushed Division 5 North leaders Didsbury close recently.
Regular keeper Matt Bostock returned for Kendal and made some excellent saves.
But although a Steve Perruzza goal in the second half cancelled out a Carlisle strike just before half time, the visitors came back to take a 2-1 end before adding a decisive third goal late on.
