AN RAF helicopter was called to fly an injured para-glider to hospital after he flew into the fell-side at Seat Sandal, Grasmere, on Sunday, February 9.
Eighteen members of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team went to the aid of the 39-year-old flyer from Keswick at around 4.30pm.
He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with back injuries.
