POLICE are making inquiries to establish the identity of a man whose body was found by a member of the public in Derwentwater, near Keswick, this morning.
The grim discovery was made near to Crow Park and a spokesman for Cumbria Constabulary said it would appear the body had been in the water for several hours.
The man is aged around 20 and was in possession of a 555 ticket a bus which travels from Lancashire through the Lakes to Keswick a small amount of cash and a silver torch. A police spokesman said: "At this stage there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances."
