- Clear snow every couple of days from greenhouses, cold frames and conservatories. Shake snow off upright conifers and hedges while still powdery.
- Remove dead blooms from hippeastrums, but let the stem die down naturally. Keep feeding and watering and they may reflower in August, as well as next spring.
- Sow lettuce and radish in a coldframe or unheated greenhouse to grow on in situ.
- Chit early potato varieties by putting them in a bright, cool spot. Support them in egg boxes or seed trays so that the end with most buds is uppermost .
- Divide snowdrops after flowering, and move any that are badly placed.
