MOUNTAIN rescuers have recovered the body of a 60-year-old Kendal man, who collapsed while walking with friends.
An 18-strong team from Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team was called to an area near Red Tarn, Cold Pike, Little Langdale, shortly after 3pm on Tuesday.
The walker, who has not been named, is believed to have died instantly. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
