A 59-year-old woman from Ilkley, West Yorkshire, was taken to hospital on Saturday after slipping while walking down a path at Silver Howe, Grasmere.
Fourteen members of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue team responded to the call out and help stretcher the woman from the Fellside.
The accident happened just before 4.15pm and the woman's details have not been released to the media at her request.
