MORE than 2,000 people turned out to the Leighton Moss Spring Fair last weekend.
The two-day event at the Silverdale RSPB reserve had many ornithologists in a flap as countless exhibitions and stalls catered for every twitcher's need.
Children got up close and personal with critters like the caddis fly lava.
Volunteer Frank Curwood (pictured) took youngsters pond-dipping while the more squeamish enjoyed face painting, treasure hunts and a guest appearance of reserve mascot Betty bittern.
