THE future of Kendal Rugby Union Football Club is to come under the spotlight next week.
Three meetings are being held to give everyone from fans to players and club officials the opportunity to give their views about the future development of the 98-year-old club, at Mint Bridge.
Members recently voted to change from a members' club to a limited company-managed club, and the new board and limited company are to start from May.
Three Let's hear from you' evenings have been planned so that all interested parties can share their hopes for the rugby club, and to give the board a clear understanding of aspirations when it plans the "'Way Forward 2003/4' business plan.
People attending the meetings will be asked if it is better to have a family-based club or to aspire to be in the Premiership; if they want to have ladies' and junior teams; and if they would like a new clubhouse and grandstand, and a new, fully drained pitch with practice lights. Many more topics will also be up for discussion.
The meetings are to take place at the Mint Bridge clubhouse on:
Tuesday, April 15, 7pm for 7.30pm, for club officials, members and interested Kendal rugby fans.
Wednesday, April 16, 7pm for 7.30pm, for members of the supporters' club.
Thursday, April 17, 8.30pm, for all the players.
