HAVING gained an important away point in the Westmorland League with a 0-0 draw at Sedbergh midweek, Lunesdale faced a seemingly stiff task away to Kendal County.
Lunesdale got off to a good start and went 2-0 up, only for the home side to bring the scores level and look like getting on top. Kendal County lost goalkeeper Nicky Dent with an injury and then had his replacement sent off for abusive language. A second home player was dismissed for the same reason and Lunesdale took control against the nine men to win 6-2. Johnny Lowis scored twice with Warren Kinley, Lee Howe, Darren Potter and substitute Mike Pattinson netting one each.
Kendal County 2, Lunesdale United 6.
