A 58-year-old man from Harrogate was rescued from Pavey Ark in the Langdale Pikes at the weekend. The man stumbled while out walking on Sunday when he fell into some boulders where he suffered a fractured left wrist and a suspected fracture of the lower left leg. Fifteen members of Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team, provided first aid and stretchered him off the fell. The victim, who has not been named, was treated at Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
