HOUSEHOLDERS keen to tool-up with the skills to help them fix a dripping tap, sort out a sticking door or even understand what all those cryptic washing symbols mean on clothes tags are being offered a new guide that promises to be simplicity itself.
The Home DIY Expert has been launched to offer practical home maintenance tips to people with a house to care for but with no real interest in DIY.
"You will not find the way to hang a new door but you will find what to do if it starts to stick or you lose the key," states the introduction to the new guide, which comes from the Expert range that has offered garden advice for more than 40 years.
The book, by Dr D.G. Hessayon, is published by Transworld, and costs £6.99.
