THE Vale of Lune Hunt point-to-point steeplechases at Whittington take place on Easter Saturday.
A top-class entry from all over the country is expected for the six-race card over the 18 fences in the picturesque Lune Valley setting.
The first race is 2pm and the last at 4.55pm and entry is £20 per car with a free racecard included.
The feature race is the Land Rovers Men's Open, with the first two to finish qualifying for the £10,000 final at Uttoxeter in May.
Course specialist Blank Cheque faces a strong field including the highly-regarded Knight Templar and recent winners Lord of the West, who is seeking a hat-trick.
Clerk of the Course Chris Hodgson, from Arkholme, lists the going as good-to-firm with firm patches and has ordered watering of the course up to the day to take the sting out of the ground.
