THE judges at the 22nd Silverdale Horticultural and Gardening Spring Show held in the Gaskell Hall last Saturday commented on the overall high standard of exhibits. In particular the children's painting and the horticultural exhibits won praised.
The large number of visitors appeared equally impressed with the exhibits, and were also keen to pick up bargains at the plant stall and enjoy the home made cakes at the refreshments counter.
Exhibitor numbers were slightly down on last year, but 2002 was a record year. Society president John Eden presented the cups and awards.
