AFTER a year out due to injury and studies Louise Houlsworth made an amazing return to top-class Taekwondo.
In her comeback competition she was up against a world-class field at the Dutch Open the Kendal girl battled her way to the runner-up trophy.
She beat strong competitors from Denmark and Germany on her way to the final, where she lost to the Spanish champion.
Her year out has seen several changes for Louise, who has now joined the Liverpool Elite Club, travelling down to the city once a week to train with four British champions.
She has also got a job at Berners, the new Grange-Over-Sands swimming pool, which she hopes will give her opportunities to add more swimming to her training routine.
Her success in Holland has also brought her an invitation to be part of the British team in the German Open next weekend.
