ONE of the great American songwriters will roll up at the Kings Arms, Ulverston, this week.
Singer songwriter Tom Pacheco was catapulted out of the tumultuous 60s and 70s along side Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton and Pete Seeger.
Set against a backdrop of the Vietnam war and Woodstck he wrote several songs for "The Band" Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and Levon Helm.
Decades of touring also saw him gain commercial success with big label recordings such as Mercury, Polygram and Columbia.
Then came Europe and Pacheco fell in love with Ireland where he set up home for more than ten years.
Still writing, performing and recording, his latest album
Nobodies features original "band" members along with Sting's Bass player and Paul McCartney's drummer.
Tom Pacheco will play on Wednesday, April 30 at 8pm. Admission is £6
