THIS CD marks a change of style from the alternative pop that made The Cardigans famous over a decade ago. The band have grown up and, boy, does their music show it. Long Gone Before Daylight' is one of those albums that could pretty much appeal to anyone and on repeat listenings it is quite obvious that there are some cracking hits that will flow for months to come. Nina Persson sounds better than ever and the up-tempo tracks A Good Horse' and Leave and Learn' add to the quality. Swedish pop' may not be to everyone's liking, but give the new, fresh sounding Cardigans an outing and you will not be disappointed. RU
