EXTRA police officers will be pounding the beat on foot and by car throughout Carnforth, the Lune Valley and more isolated areas of Heysham Saturday as part of Lancashire police's Rural Impact Day.
The project aims to tackle issues such as crime, road safety and youth nuisance, and to give a much more visible police presence in the more rural parts of the Morecambe Bay policing area.
A police surgery is also to be held at Bolton-le-Sands Village Hall tomorrow from 2pm to 5pm.
