SIR, I like the suggestion of Jocelyn Innes of Arnside (Letters, April 11, Golden Gate of the North') that the proposed bridge across Morecambe Bay Estuary would be enhanced by the inclusion of a public foot and cycle path attached to its side, as on Barmouth Bridge at the Mawddach estuary, Cardigan Bay. Better still would be for such a footpath to be attached to the rail viaduct in Arnside itself. This is not a new idea because it featured in the preliminary investigations into the parish plan for Arnside. It is one the local councils could easily adopt for the benefit of local people. Let's see what we can do.
