A FREE cruise on Ullswater, free hot drink at Aira Force and discounts on the South Tynedale Railway are among the tempting offers being made during Residents' Open Week in Eden, from Saturday, May 10 to Sunday, May 18.
The Eden Attractions Group, which is co-ordinated by Eden District Council's tourism manager, is encouraging people to holiday at home by offering free or discounted admission and hospitality.
Last year, 975 residents took part.
The only qualification needed is proof of local residency, which can be exchanged for a pass and list of discounts at tourist information centres at Alston, Appleby, Glenridding, Kirkby Stephen, Pooley Bridge, Middlegate and Rheged, Penrith, and the M6 service area at Southwaite from April 28.
