CAROLINE Blair has taken over the empty shop at the back of Elephant Yard (next to Laura Ashley), in Kendal.

For four weeks only, Caroline is selling end-of-season designer clothes. The sale will run from April 28 to the end of May.

Caroline's main store has been busy promoting her Sand collection. "As European designers are becoming increasingly popular," she says, "I decided to try to clinch a competition prize of an overnight stay for two in Sands' home city of Copenhagen."

The competition winners, Sandra and Steven Wooff were delighted to find that having entered the competition last month at Caroline Blair, they had been awarded the prize.

"I went in to the store to find a smart, special outfit to wear on my wedding day," said Sandra, "and, choosing Sand, I was automatically entered into their competition. I can't believe we won, this really is the icing on our cake; now that we are married it will be like a second honeymoon."

Sandra and her husband not only get the trip to Copenhagen with accommodation paid for, they will also be able to choose travel suits from the latest Sand collection to wear on their journey.
