Entries for the International Year of Freshwater photo competition came thick and fast and the quality was high. Congratulations, therefore, go to Danny Davies from Kendal for beating off the competition to come through as the winner with his picture of Knipe Tarn, halfway between Winster and the Wild Boar Hotel in the South Lakes. As well as getting his photo published on the site he is the lucky recipient of a Lowe Alpine Pax 20 rucksack courtesy of The Kentdale Rambler, 34 Marketplace, Kendal http://www.kentdalerambler.co.uk Hope it comes in handy for future photography trips Danny.
Congratulations must also go to our runners up:
David Wales for his photo of the Whanganui River in New Zealand, Simon Kirwain for his photo of Easedale Tarn (unfortunatley we had to crop it for publishing on the site - sorry Simon)and Martyn James for his photo of Coniston Water. Well done all.
