KENDAL Under-21s powered their way to a 29-0 victory over Penrtih to lift the Cumbria Under-21 Cup at a windswept Silloth.
First-half tries from stand-off James Hadwin, full back Chris Park (a 60m individual effort plus two conversions) and left wing Nick Whitehead put Kendal in charge at 15-0 up at half time.
Second-row Craig Wilson also crossed the Penrith tryline early in the second half and right wing Lee Roberts added a fifth to put the trophy in safe-keeping.
No. 8 Andrew Holcroft was man of the match.
Penrith battled hard but were unable to breach Kendal's strong defence.
Windermere First XV meet Kendal Seconds in the final of the Westmorland and Furness Cup at Dawes Meadow, Longlands, Bowness, on Saturday, 1pm kick-off.
